Baptism Preparation
Baptism Policy
Attendance at a Baptism Preparation class is required for all parents wishing to have their child baptized, even for parents who have had other children baptized. We encourage you to have your child baptized during Mass so that the parish community can witness this wonderful moment as your child becomes a member of God's family. Under special circumstances, baptisms can be celebrated outside of Mass. Please contact the Faith Formation Director to discuss your particular situation. If you are not married, the diocese requires us to obtain a copy of your child's birth certificate. The parish office needs to receive a copy of the birth certificate before a baptism date is set. Baptism Preparation Sessions For baptism of children, infant through age six, please contact the Faith Formation office at 363-7505, ext. 152 to register for a Baptism Preparation class. This class is a one-time session usually held at 6:00 pm on the first Monday of the month in the parish meeting room. Once the class is completed, you may call the parish office to schedule the Baptism of your child. Please note that if you are not yet a registered parishioner, we will also ask you to complete a parishioner registration form. Scheduled Preparation Sessions for 2021

Go, therefore, and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you. And behold, I am with you always, until the end of the age.” |
