Jesus defined Himself as being
the life that all people seek. His reason for coming into the world was
that we might “have life and have it to
the full” (John 10:10). That decision whether we decide to
believe or not believe that Jesus is indeed the life we seek is
the most important decision we will ever
make. Why? Because that
decision sets the course for our lives. If we really believe
Jesus is the way and fullness of life, we will follow Him. We will base
everything we do on His words and example.
So, how do we set the course to
follow Jesus’ words and example? Your Parish Faith Formation Team is here
to offer their assistance.
The Church of St. Joseph is
committed and continually striving to offer faith forming opportunities for
adults of all ages, teenagers
and children. The Parish offers you and your family members the opportunity
to participate in programs, seminars, classes & activities that
affords each individual a chance to
understand, to experience and to grow in discipleship.
If you have
children ranging from age 4 to Grade 10,
we can help. The Vatican Council tells us that parents are the primary
educators of their children. We, at St. Joseph’s Parish, wish to become a
partner with you in the faith formation process of your children. We have
an excellent curriculum that will meet the needs of those who wish to home
school their children and for those who prefer the
Wednesday Evening Program for Grades 1 – 8.
In addition, we have Sunday School for 4
& 5 year olds that meets on Sundays during our 10:00 am Mass.
Also, our Confirmation Students in 9 & 10th
Grade meets on Sunday evenings. In order to be prepared to
assist you in your child’s Faith Formation, we do need all those
participating to complete a registration form. Forms are located on the
Website (see the sidebar), at the Parish Office, Faith Formation Office and
in the East Entrance of the Church. Although classes for Pre-School,
Kindergarten and Grades 1 – 8 have just begun, it is never too late to be
part of the Faith Formation process.
