Metro Planning – Schools

On November, 1, 2009, Bishop John F. Kinney asked the five parishes of Saint Paul, Saint Peter, and Saint Michael of Saint Cloud, Saint Joseph of Waite Park, and Saint Joseph of St. Joseph to engage in conversation and develop a plan to ensure Catholic education in our area of metro St. Cloud. In response to this request, the Catholic Schools Study Group, comprised of two representatives from each parish plus the parishs pastors, was formed. This committee was charged with making recommendations for our Catholic schools to enhance collaboration among the five parishes in areas of staffing, facilities and financial resources.

In November 2010, the Catholic Schools Study Group presented its proposal that recommended the consolidation of all the schools into one school system. See the full proposal.
