If you missed this article, you can find it online at the “Liturgy” page of the parish website: www.churchstjoseph.org/liturgy.html Look for it under the title, “Mass Text Changes.”
As a means of providing further background on this topic, we would like to make you aware of two excellent resources/web sites available on the internet:
www.usccb.org/romanmissal
This is the site of the Bishops’ Committee on Divine Worship. It contains catechetical materials for the translation of the 3rd Edition of the Roman Missal.
This site also includes the new texts of the Order of Mass which can be downloaded and studied.
http://liturgy.nd.edu/web-catechesis/
This is a website created by the Notre Dame Center for Liturgy that contains several 15-minute videos which catechize about different aspects of the Liturgy and the new translation of the 3rd Edition of the Roman Missal.
These videos cover historical developments, music and chant, biblical influences in the new translation and catechesis on the Eucharistic Prayer. Transcripts of the videos may also be downloaded.
