Baptism Preparation
Baptism
Attendance at a Baptism Preparation class is required before or after the birth of the firstborn child. We encourage baptisms to take place during Mass so that the parish community can witness this wonderful moment as your child becomes a member of God's family. Baptisms may be celebrated outside of Mass. If you are not married, the diocese requires us to obtain a copy of your child's birth certificate. The parish office needs to receive a copy of the birth certificate before a baptism date is set. As you consider godparents for your child, please read our Guidelines for Choosing Godparents. Baptisms during Mass usually take place the second weekend of each month at the Saturday 5:00 pm Mass or the 10:00 am Sunday Mass. The date and time for a Baptism are decided following the Baptism Preparation Session. Baptism Preparation Sessions

Then Jesus approached and said to them, “All power in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Go, therefore, and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you. And behold, I am with you always, until the end of the age.” |
